The Magic of the Markets!

Happy Halloween fellow White Oakians! Last night I took my girls out for some Trick or Treating fun and I was very glad to see so many people participating. Many people handing out candy and many parents taking their little ones from door to door. Nothing is stronger than the spirit of love especially for our children. In the spirit of Halloween I wanted to share with you some insight into my hobby of Magic. I have been studying the art form since I was about 7 years old. I have read many books on magic and illusion and have learned a lot about human psychology along the way. At the end of the day the only way a trick works is

if you can manage to fool the person watching, otherwise they may get some entertainment value from your performance but that’s about it.

One thing I can tell you is how hard magicians work at studying the inner mind of a spectator in order to fool them with incredible illusions. I discovered this when reading my magic books; it seems there is no end a magician will go to ensure their magic is the greatest experience a lay audience will have. I began to have great admiration for magicians because of the amount of work they will put into the smallest of details. The end result is they are able to perform feats of utter impossibility, or so it would seem.

The world is filled with illusions, created by people that are obsessed with the details of how the human mind works in order to pull the illusion off. I can tell you from experience, you always want to fully analyze what you see and hear because you never know when you are being presented with information from someone that is trying to fool you!
